A winter storm is expected to hit parts of Atlantic Canada this week.
Environment Canada says some residents in southern New Brunswick could see 15 centimetres of snow tomorrow, while winds could be as strong as 80 kilometres an hour.
Nova Scotia could get 35 centimetres of snow, while up to 50 millimetres of rain is forecast along the Atlantic coastline.
Those in parts of Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador should also be prepared for windy and snowy conditions on Wednesday.

(NB-Murder-Conspiracy)
Four of the five people in New Brunswick accused of plotting to kill the son of a couple found dead in their Dieppe home in 2019 have made their first court appearance today.
A warrant has been issued for one person’s arrest.
The suspects have all been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and one of them is charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
R-C-M-P say the charges stem from an investigation into the deaths of Sylvio Saulnier’s parents — 78-year-old Bernard Saulnier and 74-year-old Rose-Marie Saulnier.

(NB-Gas-Cuts)
Cuts to gasoline and diesel prices of up to 10 cents per litre that were scheduled to take effect across New Brunswick today have been cancelled.
The province’s energy and utilities board said last week the cuts planned by Premier Susan Holt’s government threatened significant damage to both petroleum wholesalers and retailers.
Holt had wanted to cut environmental charges from fuel prices.
The board has ordered the implementation of a new fuel charge equal to the charge being cancelled.

A P-E-I community will meet tonight to look at a list of possible new names.
Residents of Savage Harbour will review a full list of suggested names for the community, bay and road.
They will work together to identify a new list of the top five options.

(PEI-Stolen-Cars)
Two youths on Prince Edward Island are facing 20 charges following an investigation into stolen vehicles.
R-C-M-P say four vehicles were stolen from the driveways of homes in Stratford in October and they were driven recklessly throughout the community.
The youths have been charged with theft, mischief, trespassing and more.
They’re set to appear in court in Charlottetown later this month.

Windy weather is impacting ferry crossings in Atlantic Canada.
Northumberland Ferries says today’s sailings between Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island and Caribou, Nova Scotia have been cancelled because of the high winds forecast in the Northumberland Strait.
Ferries are also cancelled today between North Sydney, Nova Scotia and Port aux Basques, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Marine Atlantic says four crossings between those two locations tomorrow have been rescheduled.
