A 36-year-old New Brunswick woman has been charged with first degree murder in the death of a woman who was found in a garbage bin in Moncton.
The body of 39-year-old Melissa Price from Moncton was found last month and her death was deemed a homicide.
The 36-year-old woman appeared in Moncton Provincial Court yesterday where she was charged and held in custody.
She is scheduled to return to court on April 9th.

WorkSafe N-B says an employee died on the job at McDonough Manufacturing in Woodstock.
The organization says the person was a machine operator.
The death is under investigation.
WorkSafe N-B says it cannot release any other information while the investigation is ongoing.

Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston says he’s thrilled the Canadian government has reached its goal of spending roughly two per cent of its G-D-P on defence — a key NATO commitment Ottawa previously failed to meet.
Prime Minister Mark Carney was in Halifax yesterday, where he boarded a Royal Canadian Navy warship to announce the milestone.
The premier says Canada’s defence industrial strategy includes about two-billion dollars for investments that will modernize critical infrastructure, build new facilities and support the next generation of naval and air fleets.
Houston thanked the prime minister, saying Carney recognizes that Nova Scotia is the most logical place to invest billions of dollars on new submarines, river-class destroyers and air force assets at Canadian Forces Base Greenwood.

Police in Halifax are asking for the public’s help as they continue to investigate the killing of a 20-year-old man who was shot on Hollis Street four years ago.
Halifax Regional Police say the shooting was reported on March 26th, 2022, at 3:50 a-m.
Police say Keezondre Kentrez Rayshawn Smith died later in hospital.
The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted an autopsy and ruled the death a homicide.

A pedestrian in Halifax is recovering from injuries she sustained after she was hit by a bus at a marked crosswalk.
Halifax Regional Police say the 42-year-old woman was crossing Barrington Street at Spring Garden Road yesterday at 7:15 a-m when she was struck by a Halifax Transit bus turning left to Barrington Street.
The woman was taken to hospital and is expected to recover from her injuries.
The bus driver was given a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

The federal government and P-E-I have signed a deal that will streamline environmental assessments for major projects.
Going forward, projects will need just one environmental assessment to satisfy both governments.
Ottawa says that will lead to less duplication and greater communication.
B-C, Ontario and New Brunswick have already signed similar agreements.
