Mitton says NB needs someone in charge of public transportation

On today’s show, Tantramar MLA Megan Mitton and Green leader David Coon have released a video of themselves taking the train from Moncton to Sackville–a trip that took two hours and 15 minutes–and calling on the provincial government to put someone in charge of public transportation in the province. We talk to Mitton in between legislative sessions to find out more about why she thinks New Brunswick can do better.

Plus in briefs:

  • The Sackville RCMP is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing woman from Taylor Village, across the Memramcook River from Upper Dorchester.
  • Tantramar Regional High School teams put in a remarkable showing at the annual Greater Moncton Dragon Boat Festival, raising $68,000–the most of any school–for charities, and taking home a gold.
