The Canadian wildlife service has recently detected Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in wild birds in all Atlantic Canadian provinces. Avian influenza is a highly contagious viral disease that affects a variety of bird species, including waterfowl, birds of prey, songbirds, and poultry.
