Residents invited to collaborate on development of local climate change play

Area residents interested in connecting with the power of community theatre are invited to an upcoming interactive workshop that will help develop a local play.

The workshop, being presented as part of Marshlight Theatre’s New Works Festival running from March 20-29 and in collaboration with Festival by the Marsh, will explore issues such as climate change, family cohesion during challenging times, differing intergeneration perspectives and heartening solutions. Participants can expect to have some fun while learning a bit about play development and deepening their capacity for storytelling as a vehicle for community development.

No theatre experience is necessary. Organizers say to just bring along your authentic self and your sense of play. Pre-registration for the workshop, which will take place March 23 from 7-9 pm at Marshlight Theatre at 3 Fairfield Road in Sackville, is recommended at www.festivalbythemarsh.com
