The Mount Allison Students’ Union is hosting its first ever community yard sale in the parking lot near the Mount Allison Athletic Centre on Lansdowne, today from 4pm to 7pm.
With COVID restrictions in place such as mandatory masks, limited capacity and recording contact tracing information, the event is open to anyone in the Sackville and Mount Allison communities.
MASU sustainability committee member Natasha Gosselin says the yard sale aims to, “bring off campus and on campus students and residents together while encouraging people to recycle their items rather than throwing them away.”
The committee is also encouraging yard sales at off-campus student homes during the same time, so keep your eyes peeled on the streets of Sackville.
The committee is asking that people pay with cash only and minimize the amount of physical touching of items as they peruse.
