Police in Nova Scotia’s Pictou County say three people are dead following a two-vehicle crash in Mount William near New Glasgow.
R-C-M-P say the collision occurred late Sunday on Highway 106 between the Trenton connector and the Granton exit.
Both vehicles were fully engulfed in flames when emergency responders made it to the scene.
Police say the driver of one vehicle and the driver and passenger of the other vehicle were confirmed dead at the scene.

The sister of a firefighter who died during a training exam at the Nova Scotia Firefighters School says the program needs an overhaul aimed at improving safety standards.
Skyler Blackie died in hospital on March 9th, 2019, after a fire extinguisher he was using exploded at the school on the outskirts of Halifax.
His sister, Jessica Gillis, last week launched a petition calling for reform, citing an audit that uncovered numerous safety infractions at the school.
A spokeswoman for the Labour Department says 22 high risk activities were noted by Occupational, Health and Safety officers.

(NS-McAndrew-Disappearance)
More than 35 years after Kimberly McAndrew disappeared, police in Halifax have released a statement saying they continue to investigate her case.
Halifax Regional Police say that on August 12th, 1980, McAndrew was seen at 4:20 p-m. leaving the Canadian Tire store where she worked on Quinpool Road.
Police say the 19-year-old cashier was later seen at the Gardenia Flower Shop at the Penhorn Mall in Dartmouth.
Investigators believe there are people who have information about what happened to McAndrew, which is why her case has been added to the provincial Justice Department’s rewards for major unsolved crimes program.

Charlottetown police are investigating a fire at an encampment set up by foreign workers.
They say in a news release that police and fire services responded to a report of a fire on the grounds of St Paul’s Church at 101 Prince Street on Saturday around 3 a-m.
They say some protesters were on site during the fire and no injuries were reported.

R-C-M-P in Labrador say they are investigating a case of arson in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Police say they responded to a report of a fire at the Sand Bar on Saturday.
Firefighters battled the blaze which completely destroyed the property.
The Mounties say evidence suggests the fire was intentionally set and they say two suspects were observed running from the property, while a third suspect was suspected to be in the area when the fire broke out.

(Operation-Nanook)
The Halifax-based warship H-M-C-S Margaret Brooke has left its home port to take part in exercises in the Far North.
For the next two months, the ship’s crew will take part in Operation Nanook, which is aimed at maintaining Canadian security in the Arctic.
The mission will focus on Arctic training and improving readiness of all participants, including crews from the United States navy and the Danish navy.
