Charlie Star is the latest artist-in-residence at Struts Gallery in Sackville. Her project, Margins and Resonance, explores sound, identity, and the Black experience in the Maritimes through a series of one-on-one recorded conversations. Star, who has completed residencies in South Africa, Spain, and Italy, says this Canadian residency has been among her most supportive yet. As the work evolves, she’s inviting more voices into the process – and hopes to end her stay with a public listening event.
