Police in Nova Scotia are asking the public’s help in finding a 20-year-old man wanted on a provincewide arrest warrant.
They say Kyle Gordon Joseph Buffett is wanted on a raft of charges, including assault with a weapon, possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation.
Police describe him as five-foot-three, weighing about 170 pounds with dark brown hair and brown eyes.
They say Buffett is known to frequent the areas of West Hants Kings and Annapolis counties and is believed to be driving a grey 2020 Hyundai Kona.

The New Brunswick government says farmers in the beef sector need support.
It has announced a pilot program that will let producers in the province and Prince Edward Island buy insurance to protect the price of beef cattle.
That’s in the event of unexpected market declines.
The government calls it an important step to facilitate farm growth in communities across New Brunswick and attract new farmers.

An R-C-M-P corporal in New Brunswick who was charged with a sex crime involving a minor has been suspended with pay.
Jeremy Bastarache is accused of trying to solicit a person he believed to be under 16 years old for a sexual offence.
The police force has referred the case to the Serious Incident Response Team.
The R-C-M-P notes these types of investigations are challenging for victims, the community as well as for other officers.

Police in Newfoundland are looking for the driver of a pick-up truck who hit a woman and her dog on Tuesday and then drove away.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says the woman and her pet were hit in the west end of St. John’s just before 7:45 p-m.
The force says the truck is a grey, older-model four-door pick-up with a company logo on the driver’s side panel.
Police say the woman was treated briefly in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.

A new centre for addictions care is opening in downtown Halifax.
Nova Scotia Addictions and Mental Health Minister Brian Comer says the new recovery support centre is aimed at helping people living with substance abuse and gambling disorders.
Services at the centre, located on Fenwick Street, will include in-person assessments, group programming and harm reduction support.
It’ll be staffed with a doctor, registered nurses and social workers.

The main downtown street in Newfoundland and Labrador’s capital city will be closed to vehicles this summer from June 20th to September 2nd.
The St. John’s pedestrian mall began in 2020 as a way to promote being outdoors and social distancing during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It’s now a downtown summer staple, where restaurants build outdoor decks in the street that fill up with sun-baking patrons.
The city says this year’s pedestrian mall will feature a market on every second Thursday with local vendors, artists and food trucks.
