A new collaborative care clinic in southern New Brunswick expects to eliminate a local patient wait-list within 12 to 18 months.

The province says physicians at the clinic in the Hampton area have already starting contacting patients from the N-B Health Link wait-list.

The clinic opened its doors on September 1st and has six doctors, two practical nurses, a registered nurse and other staff who will provide care to more than 39-hundred patients in the area.

The New Brunswick government is providing about 2.2-million-dollars to Horizon Health Network in support of the team.

Officials in Summerside say a fire at a solar farm in western P-E-I is out, weeks after it started on Labour Day.

Emergency services in Summerside say the fire started at the Sunbank solar farm where battery cells burned, smouldered and flared up for weeks.

City officials say they will work with the P-E-I fire marshal, technical experts and insurance providers to determine the cause of the fire.

The city’s utility team will begin the process of restarting solar power generation as the farm’s battery infrastructure stays isolated.

Advocates behind a 13-year-old bid to build a new shipping container port in Cape Breton have shifted their focus to offshore wind development.

A statement from Novaporte today says it drummed up investor interest for the new proposal at last week’s Canada Investment Summit in Toronto.

The plan calls for building an offshore wind manufacturing port on the shores of Sydney harbour and attract anchor manufacturers and suppliers to the area.

Novaporte says the first phase of its proposal for an offshore wind hub could be worth one-billion-dollars-U-S.
