(NL-Parking-Ban)

It’s a sure sign of spring — the City of St. John’s, Newfoundland is lifting its winter parking ban.

The ban had been in place since January to make way for snow clearing operations.

It was extended to April 18th because of a chance of winter weather, but the city announced Monday that the ban is now officially lifted.

The city can still ban vehicles in the event of a late spring snow storm, and fine anybody who breaks it.
