The McCain Foods plant in New Brunswick is cleared for another five years of pumping out french fries and other tasty treats.
The province is issuing the company’s frozen food plant in Florenceville-Bristol a new five-year, class one air quality approval, which was set to expire at the end of the month.
The plant is able to produce 16-thousand kilograms of fries, five-thousand kilograms of specialty potato products, nearly 14-thousand pizza pockets and 46-hundred cakes every hour.
The approval follows a public consultation process and review that wrapped up in December.
